Patriots running back Eric Kettani, who joined the team in training camp after spending two years in the Navy, has been held out of practice due to a calf injury, according to a source.
Kettani hasn't practiced since July 29, when the Patriots held their fourth session of camp. The source said Kettani has improved significantly since he initially suffered the injury.
At this point, the best-case scenario for Kettani would be the practice squad or injured reserve. The Patriots must cut their roster to 53 players by Saturday afternoon.
