According to Buster Olney, the Sox and Marlins have had hasty discussions regarding a possible trade for Miami star infielder and one-time Red Sox shortstop Hanley Ramirez, as seen in the tweet below.
Despite signing shortstop Jose Reyes, Olney reported last week that the Marlins don't intend to trade Ramirez. Olney also reports that at least four teams have talked to the Marlins about a possible deal involving the infielder.
