Few things in life are completely positive for all-involved parties — the return of the real NFL refs is one of those rare examples.
The NFL officials have the media, fans and social media to thank for the uproar they caused last Monday night after the blown simultaneous possession call in the Packers-Seahawks game. Because of that play and the reaction to it, the real refs have their jobs back with a favorable deal that ended the lockout.
The NFL officials came to Dallas on Monday night with a banner thanking the fans that said, "We are all so glad to be back," and signed, "The Real Refs."
Between the standing ovations they've received and now this banner, the real refs appear to be basking in the glory of their new found stardom. For a vocation that went unappreciated for so long, they deserve it.
