The New York City Marathon runners weren't going to let the devastation
of Hurricane Sandy keep them from taking to the streets Sunday.
The marathon runners bounced back from the race being canceled and instead came out to help clean it up. Thousands of the world's most talented runners arrived to New York via Staten Island on Sunday to offer their services to those still struggling with the aftermath of Sandy, which left millions of people without power.
Others who made the trek for the 26.2-mile race instead ran in an impromptu marathon through Central Park.
