The trash-talking started Sunday night, and the damage control came early Monday morning.
Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo made some news on Sunday night when he took to Twitter during the Patriots-Texans playoff game. The seldom-used defensive player made a few remarks about the Patriots’ offense, calling it a “gimmick.” Apparently not wanting to fuel the fire of this weekend’s AFC championship game between the Ravens and Patriots, Ayanbadejo is backing off those comments.
He took to Twitter again on Monday morning, this time to try and put out the fire he stoked Sunday night.
I made selfish comments on twitter last night that reflected poorly upon myself, my teammates, and the organization. For that I apologize.
