The former England captain is in the process of moving his family from Los Angeles to London. They will remain there regardless of where Beckham next plays, according to the BBC.
“The schooling of Beckham’s four children is a priority but he is still weighing up offers from various continents,” the report says.
Beckham left the L.A. Galaxy last month after helping his former team capture a second-straight MLS Cup. He’s remained tight-lipped about his future, only saying that he’s not ready to retire and that he has a number of interesting options from which to choose.
Beckham is rumored to be considering offers from clubs in China, Australia, the Middle East, England and continental Europe. He will meet with his advisers next week and discuss the numerous offers. The Guardian reports he will make a decision after those meetings.
“David Beckham will make a decision on his future next week after receiving 12 offers from around the world but the former England captain is not expected to return to the Premier League,” the report says.
“The 37-year-old is viewing his next move as potentially his last as a player and those close to Beckham say he is attracted by the prospect of playing at a high level or in an environment where his presence would have a similar impact as when he first moved from Real Madrid to the Galaxy.”
Beckham has been a big hit — on and off the field — at every stop of his career, and the support of his family has been crucial to that success. This latest move suggests the Beckhams are ready to stop nation-hopping and put down roots in their homeland. It’s likely that they’ll watch David’s final adventure from a distance.
