It’s supposed to be ridiculously hot Wednesday in Boston, but there will be a reminder that winter is not far behind. That’s because the Bruins open training camp Wednesday in Boston, less than three months after their season ended in disappointing fashion in the Stanley Cup Final.
The B’s will be off the ice Wednesday, as they’ll get their conditioning testing and other odds and ends out of the way before they actually begin skating Thursday. When they do so, they will be split up into two groups. The roster and those groups were announced Wednesday morning.
The two groups will take the ice Thursday morning, with Practice No. 1 starting at 10 a.m. and Practice No. 2 starting at 12:15 p.m. Practices Thursday and Friday will be closed to the public, but Saturday’s and Sunday’s are open. All practices Thursday through Sunday will be held at TD Garden.
Monday’s practices will be held at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass., at 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., and both sessions are open to the public.
