Phil Kessel‘s got some skills.
The Maple Leafs winger showcased his incredible speed Friday night when he skated end-to-end during the third period of the Leafs’ matchup against the Devils, eventually netting the first goal of the night.
The Leafs and Devils were all tied up at zero in the third before Kessel got his stick on the puck. The sniper took a pass from Cody Franson, looped back around into his own zone to switch sides on the ice and then took off. Kessel sped down the left side, wove through some defenders and fired a shot right through Cory Schneider‘s legs.
To top it all off, Kessel had drawn a penalty on Marek Zidlicky for hooking.
