bruno MarsGrammy award-winner Bruno Mars will headline the Super Bowl Pepsi Halftime show, and he will be joined by fellow Grammy winners, the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Mars, whose most popular songs include “Just The Way You Are,” “It Will Rain,” and “Locked Out Of Heaven,” will be the latest star to join the ranks of past Super Bowl performers like Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, who came into fame thanks to songs like “Can’t Stop” and “Scar Tissue,” will make for an interesting combination on stage with the younger pop star.

The performance will not lack an audience — the Super Bowl last year was the most-watched program on television, and this years’ game will most likely earn that title as well. The audience will also be involved in the show. Every fan will receive a wool hat with an LED screen implanted in it, the idea being the combination of everyone’s hats will create a massive LED screen.

The East Rutherford area will be a popular spot for sports and music fans alike, as several other big name bands and performers put on shows throughout the week, including the Black Keys, John Legend, the Foo Fighters, Band of Horses, and Imagine Dragons.

Mars took to social media to show how excited he is for the upcoming  performance. If his enthusiasm is any suggestion of the energy he’ll bring to the stage, the halftime performance should live up to its expectations. Check out his tweets below:
