Bombing Survivor Marc Fucarile Tosses First Pitch At Red Sox Game (Photos)

Marc Fucarile had quite the eventful week at Fenway Park.

Fucarile, who lost one of his legs in the Boston Marathon bombing last April, threw out the first pitch for the Boston Red Sox’s Patriots’ Day matinee against the Baltimore Orioles, with former Red Sox first baseman Kevin Millar handling the catching duties.

The memorable moment came one day after the Stoneham, Mass., native was recognized alongside dozens of other survivors and first responders in a pregame ceremony at Fenway and four days after he and his longtime fiancée, Jen Regan, hosted their wedding at the storied ballpark.

Check out Fucarile’s first pitch in the photos below.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
