Nick Young isn’t getting an endorsement deal with Scott toilet paper anytime soon.

The Los Angeles Lakers swingman helped give his team a much-needed win over a very good San Antonio Spurs team Friday night in San Antonio. With seconds left in overtime, Young hit a deep 3-pointer with the Lakers trailing by a point.

That shot was a pretty good answer to Kobe Bryant’s latest rant about his Lakers teammates earlier in the week. Bryant, whose tantrum during a practice was caught on film, reportedly called his teammates “soft like Charmin (toilet paper).”

Young apparently took that to heart and turned it into a joke after playing the role of hero Friday night.

Perhaps the most surprising thing about that final play was that Bryant actually passed the ball. The perpetual ballhog decided to give up control of the rock in the final seconds before the ball eventually got back to Young. He also touched on that after that the game.

“Once it left my hand, I kind of knew it was cash,” Young said, according to ESPN.com. “I’m like, ‘I don’t miss.’ That’s my new name — ‘I.D.M.’ Call me ‘I.D.M.’ You feel me? I’m glad I had a chance to hit a game winner with somebody like Kobe [Bryant] on the floor, who normally has the ball in his hands all the time.”

Well done, sir.
