The Hampton University basketball team has as many wins as losses this season, and now they’ll try to pull off one of the greatest upsets in sports history.

The Pirates defeated Manhattan on Tuesday night in the first of the NCAA tournament’s First Four games, and their prize is a Thursday matchup against the undefeated University of Kentucky.

That point spread might end up being one of the biggest in NCAA tournament history, and there’s probably no one out there who truly believes Hampton has a chance to win the basketball game.

Although he’d probably never admit as much, that likely includes Hampton head coach Edward Joyner Jr. Following the Pirates’ win over Manhattan, Joyner went to the podium to answer questions about the enormous task of facing Kentucky.

Joyner then revealed he’s got a secret weapon — maybe.

No matter what happens Thursday, we’re just hoping Hampton gets to use this bench celebration at least one more time.
