The New England Patriots are clearing room for undrafted free agents.

The Patriots released cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, long snapper Tyler Ott and linebacker Deontae Skinner on Tuesday.

Dennard was a seventh-round draft pick who started 20 games in three seasons with the Patriots. He played just six games with four starts last season before he was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He was a healthy scratch for most of the 2014 season.

Dennard dropped in the 2012 NFL Draft because of off-field concerns. He was arrested for assault on a police officer days before the draft, and in December 2013, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating probation after an arrest on suspicion of DUI.

Ott spent three months with the Patriots in 2014 before being released during training camp. He re-signed with the team on March 6. The Patriots selected Navy long snapper Joe Cardona in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft.

Skinner played in seven games with one start in his 2014 rookie season. He was released Nov. 26 and signed to the practice squad Dec. 3.
