Tom Brady’s popularity has taken a major hit since he was suspended four games for his role in Deflategate. Or so we’ve been told.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell revealed the NFL’s top-selling jerseys for the month of May based on sales from the NFL’s official online store, and two prominent rookies topped the list: Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota and Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston.

So who was right behind them at No. 3? Yup, that’d be Brady.

The New England Patriots quarterback’s jersey usually is among the NFL’s most popular, but it appears he’s actually gotten a boost from the scandal that threatens to keep that jersey off his back to start the 2015 season.

Brady’s No. 3 ranking could be explained by the “any publicity is good publicity” theory, but it’s also likely Patriots fans decided to show their support for their favorite quarterback by buying his jersey in bulk.

New England fans will be pleased to hear tight end Rob Gronkowski also cracked the top 10 jersey list at No. 6, although he was edged out once again by New York Giants wide receiver and “Madden” cover boy Odell Beckham Jr. at No. 5.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s jersey ranked as the NFL’s fourth-most popular, while the threads of Colin Kaepernick (No. 7), Dez Bryant (No. 8), Aaron Rodgers (No. 9) and Peyton Manning (No. 10) rounded out the top 10.
