NFL Week 1 Odds: Spreads Already Out; Patriots-Cardinals Looking Even

It’s never too early to start talking football picks.

The ink barely is dry on the schedule for the 2016 NFL season, which will begin Thursday, Sept. 8, with a Super Bowl 50 rematch between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. But, as OddsShark points out, Westgate?s Las Vegas Superbook already released odds for each of the Week 1 matchups.

The spreads and over/under totals, of course, could — and likely will, in many cases — change over the next four and a half months. But right now, the defending Super Bowl champions are favored over Cam Newton’s bunch despite their murky quarterback situation.

The New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals will square off in the first “Sunday Night Football” matchup of the season. Both teams are coming off conference championship losses, but both are expected to again contend for a Super Bowl title. As such, that game is a pick ’em for the time being.

The initial spreads and over/under totals for each Week 1 matchup, via OddsShark, can be found below. All odds are up to date as of Monday, April 18.
