The Stanley Cup playoffs are in full swing, but another notable hockey tournament gets underway Friday.

The IIHF world tournament begins in Russia, highlighted by a group-play matchup between two hockey powers, the United States and Canada.

While the rosters don’t have the normal starpower of, say, the Olympics, plenty of notable names are on each roster. That’s especially true for the Canadians, who bring NHL stars such as Corey Perry, Brad Marchand, Taylor Hall and Connor McDavid to Russia.

The American roster is heavy on young talent, with plenty of up-and-comers. The Americans have plenty of NHL representation, too, with NHLers such as Dylan Larkin, Nick Foligno and Frank Vatrano, in addition to likely No. 1 overall draft pick Auston Matthews.

Faceoff is set for 9:15 a.m. ET, with coverage on NBC Sports Network starting at 9.

Here’s how you also can watch the game online.
