The Patriots signed wide receiver Robert Ortiz on Wednesday, though terms of the agreement were not announced.
Originally signed by the San Diego Chargers out of San Diego State University, Ortiz was waived prior to the start of the 2006 season.
In 2007, Ortiz went to training camp with the Seattle Seahawks before being waived prior to the start of the regular season. He signed with the Patriots during the 2008 offseason, and was waived prior to the start of training camp. He then went on to sign with the San Francisco 49ers, who released him prior to the start of the regular season.
