Complete List of Patriots’ Moves to Cut Roster to 53

As expected, it was a busy Saturday in Foxborough, as the Patriots made a bevy of moves to cut their roster down to the required 53-man limit.

The Patriots released 10 players, placed three on injured reserve and made two trades.

David Thomas, TE, in exchange for a draft pick

Acquired

Michael Matthews, TE, from the New York Giants in exchange for a draft pick

These moves come after Saturday's release of Andrew Walter, Vinny Ciurciu, Robert Ortiz, Roderick Rogers, Stephen Williams and Billy Yates.
