ESPN’s College GameDay to Feature Unranked Matchup

Given the choice, which game would you want ESPN to select to host College GameDay for the first weekend of October football this season?

No. 8 Oklahoma at No. 17 Miami?

No. 7 USC at No. 24 California?

No. 4 LSU at No. 18 Georgia?

It’s hard to pick against any of the three, but ESPN opted to travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to host College GameDay at Boston College for the ACC matchup between Boston College and Florida State. This marks the second appearance of the show at BC. The program also visited The Heights on Sept. 17, 2005, prior to BC’s inaugural game in the ACC.

The Eagles play the Seminoles at 3:30 this Saturday on ABC.

Boston College is currently 3-1 and 1-1 in ACC games. After jumping out to a 2-0 start against Northeastern and Kent State, the Eagles fell on the road at Clemson before rebounding with a win against Wake Forest.

Florida State sits at 2-2 and was ranked during the preseason prior to Miami knocking them off in the Labor Day showdown. Florida State upset No. 7 BYU on Sept. 19, but followed it up with a disappointing home loss to South Florida.
