Giants’ Pierce Will Play Against Patriots

After sitting out against the Jets last Saturday due to a sore foot, Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce will return to the field on Thursday against the Patriots in the preseason finale, the New York Daily News reports.

According to the Daily News, Pierce is expected to see limited action and play only a few snaps with the Giants starters unlikely to play more than two series.

Left tackle David Diehl (knee), defensive tackle Chris Canty
(hamstring), defensive tackle Jay Alford (knee), safety Kenny Phillips (knee), cornerback Aaron
Ross
(hamstring), wide receiver David Tyree (hamstring), running back Danny Ware (ribs), left tackle
Guy Whimper
(hip) and linebacker Michael Boley (hip) will not play.
