Randy Moss Focused on Patriots, Not Jets, After Loss
Whether it's a win or a loss, there's one thing that is almost a guarantee after a Patriots game: Randy Moss will say (or wear) something memorable.

Sunday, following a divisional loss to the Jets, Moss stayed true to form.

When asked if his quarterback was still trying to find his rhythm, Moss couldn't help but reveal his true feelings about No. 12.

"I love Tom Brady," Moss said in his postgame news conference. "Keep watchin', man. He's gonna keep coming."

Moss also detailed how, despite being held to just four catches for 24 yards on Sunday, the cornerback who spent his afternoon covering him was not as good as advertised. A reporter asked plainly, "Is Darrelle [Revis] one of the toughest corners you go against?"

Moss' answer?

"No."

Perhaps feeling the need to explain, Moss went on.

"All week, he's been talking about how he's a shutdown corner, but there's really no shutdown corners in the league because they have [safety] help for most of the game. I mean, I could probably play corner if I had [Brandon] Meriweather over the top for the whole game. I think I could be a shutdown corner."

Despite the seemingly disparaging remarks, Moss said he wanted to give credit to the defense that stopped the Patriots from scoring a touchdown for the first time since Dec. 10, 2006, a stat upon which Mike Reiss shed some light after the game.

"I'm not taking anything away from [Revis], their whole defense, secondary, D-linemen, linebackers included," he said. "They made plays and we didn't get things done. You got to give credit when it's due and they did a hell of a job today."

Jets safety Kerry Rhodes, another of Moss' foes on Sunday, spent much of his week talking about "embarrassing" the Patriots and engaging in a mini Twitter war with Rodney Harrison. His postgame comments were a bit more tempered, simply thanking supporters on his Twitter page.

Still, Moss' focus was on what the Patriots can do better, not what the Jets did.

"I think that the frustration sets in when we know that we stick our own selves in the foot. … With the firepower that we’ve got, and we prepare every week, it is a little frustrating. I’m not going to sit here and lie. But at the same time, when things go bad, you’ve got to find ways to win. Toward the end of the game, we kept going backwards as a whole offensive unit. We didn’t make anything happen."
