'Peter Gammons Comes Home' to Air on NESN at 10:30 p.m. Saturday Red Sox fans, better mark your calendars. Come Saturday night at 10:30 p.m. ET, NESN will be airing Peter Gammons Comes Home.

The half-hour special is Peter Gammons‘ first appearance on NESN since joining the network earlier this week. NESN’s newest analyst sits down with NESN host Kathryn Tappen and reviews the Red Sox’ offseason and recounts his lifelong relationship with the club.

The veteran journalist began his career as a reporter in 1969 with The Boston Globe, then worked for Sports Illustrated and spent the last 20 years covering baseball for ESPN. He received the 2004 J.G. Taylor Spink Award for outstanding baseball writing and was honored during the 2005 Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Gammons will serve as a NESN studio analyst and reporter for over 50 of the network’s hour-long pregame and postgame shows and as co-host of Red Sox Hot Stove and Red Sox Spring Break LIVE. He also will make regular contributions to NESN.com.
