When the Bruins' doctors said Patrice Bergeron will likely miss two weeks of action with his broken thumb, they weren't joking.

Bergie, who was skating with Dennis Wideman and Tuukka Rask during Sunday's optional skate at Ristuccia Arena, may return to the lineup for Monday's afternoon tilt with the Senators — exactly two weeks to the day from when he injured his thumb against the Rangers on. Jan. 4.

"We should have a fairly good idea by today, later on today," head coach Claude Julien told the Boston Globe. "He was on the ice, and then he's going to talk to doctors and make sure everything's OK. If it feels good, and confident, and there's no issues, we'll see him in the lineup.

"To be honest with you guys, I'm standing here right now with a bunch of question marks," Julien added. "It's going to be hard for me to answer today who's in and who's out, because I don't have the answers."
