Jordan Crawford's 3-Pointer From Midcourt Not Enough for Xavier to Top Kansas State Jordan Crawford made headlines over the summer for dunking on LeBron James. That video turned out to be pretty tame — especially compared to what the Xavier University sophomore did on Thursday evening.

With time running out in overtime against Kansas State, Crawford heaved up a 3-ball from a mile away … and nailed it. It forced the game into double OT, where Kansas State eventually pulled away.

Though Crawford and Xavier lost, the rest of the country won, because not only did we get to witness a great game, but we got to witness that great game with Gus Johnson on the play-by-play.

Quote of the day

“Nineteen to shoot … [Jacob] Pullen straightaway … Bam! He’s in shape!”
–CBS play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, after Kansas State’s Jacob Pullen hit a 3-pointer with 31.2 seconds remaining in double overtime.

One guy who was quite familiar with March Madness is former Kentucky Wildcat Antoine Walker. Since making more than $100 million in the NBA, Walker’s lost all of it due to gambling debts and other mistakes. It’s a sad, sad story, without question, yet some people are ready to point fingers … at a former head coach and a former president.

“it’s Rick Pitino and Bush’s FAULT”
–Scott
