Report: Tim Tebow Leaning Toward Not Attending NFL Draft Tim Tebow might not attend the NFL draft, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King reports.

"I've got to figure out what will be more fun for me and best for my family," Tebow told King. "But I have to say I liked what [Cleveland tackle] Joe Thomas did on the day of the draft a couple of years ago — he went fishing with his dad."

With all the hype and publicity surrounding Tebow, opting out of going to New York for the draft may be a smart choice for the family-oriented quarterback, who would enjoy spending the momentous occasion with his loved ones and without the cameras.

He also would dodge a media-frenzy bullet if he falls low into the draft. According to King, Tebow’s stock is on the rise, but it appears he will get selected in the "28 to 45 range." Spending the afternoon fishing would be more pleasurable than being the last player in the green room.
