Kobe Bryant Takes a Break From the Hardwood, Appears on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' As Kobe Bryant was introduced to the Jimmy Kimmel Livecrowd on Tuesday night, the studio erupted in “M-V-P!” chants.

Apparently, basketball fans in the Los Angeles area don’t watch many Cleveland Cavaliers games.

Bryant spoke about both personal and professional events going on his life, including his three-year, $84 million contract extension, a deal which Jimmy Kimmel compared to “Oprah money.”

Unfortunately, Kimmel couldn’t get Manny Pacquiao as the musical guest.
