Will the Blue Jays Finish 2010 Above .500?

The Blue Jays own a a two-game lead over the Red Sox, as the two teams prepare to square off in a three-game series starting Monday night in Toronto.

After shooting out to a 6-3 record, the Jays have fallen back down to earth and have won just four of their last 10 contests. Toronto is at 10-9 through its first 19 games and actually owns a worse record at the Rogers Centre (4-6) than on the road (6-3).

As it’s been in recent years, Toronto doesn’t appear to be an honest threat in the AL East. With the departure of ace Roy Halladay this offseason, many baseball experts have pegged Toronto as still a couple of years away from being a true contender in the division against the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays.

But the Blue Jays have a solid lineup, and if their young staff can hang tough, this Toronto team can do some damage in 2010. Luke in Farmington asks: Will the Blue Jays finish 2010 above .500?

As of 10 p.m. on Monday, the fans were split right down the middle. Fifty percent of voters believe the Blue Jays will finish above .500, while the other 50 percent believe they won’t.
