Many Bruins fans believe that David Krejci's untimely wrist injury in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals was a major reason why the Bruins were unable to finish off the Flyers in the postseason.

Luckily for the B's, the centerman is roughly a month away from getting screws removed and hitting the ice and the weight room — and hitting them hard. So hard, in fact, that he stated he will likely be ready for the start of training camp at the end of summer.

"I've been doing rehab for the past month and it's going good so far, so hopefully it will go that way," Krejci told WEEI.com. "I'm going to have surgery in [four weeks] to take the screws out and after that I should be able to go on the ice and start lifting much heavier weights than I'm used to right now.

"I'm really excited," he added. "It feels pretty good right now but it's not 100 percent."

Krejci will have his work cut out for him this summer as he'll likely be jockeying with Marc Savard, Patrice Bergeron and No. 2 overall pick Tyler Seguin for playing time, assuming all players are on the roster when the season opens this fall.

Arguably the team's best all-around forward, Krejci underwent offseason surgery last summer as well to repair an injured hip. The fourth-year Czech posted 17 goals and 35 assists for 52 points in the 2009-10 season, after bagging career highs in goals (22), assists (51) and points (73) a year earlier.
