LeBron James-Dwyane Wade Combination Will Make for Some Slow Basketball Games "The Chosen One" and "Flash" are teaming up in Miami, unquestionably bringing at least a half-dozen highlight-reel plays per game to American Airlines Arena.

The duo will also be bringing free throws. A lot of them.

The sheer volume of free throws attempted by LeBron James and Dwyane Wade over the past two seasons is staggering: the two have combined to shoot 3,008 free throws in the past two regular seasons. James and Wade finished third and fourth, respectively, in attempts last year, while Wade was second and James third in 2008-09.

Since the 2005-06 season, the lowest per-game total either player has posted has been Wade's 9.1 this past year — and that was the fourth-highest in the NBA.

In the playoffs, things don't get any smoother. James averages 11.3 per game in the postseason, while Wade isn't far behind with nine per game. Wade also went to the line a ridiculous 250 times in 23 playoff games in the spring of 2006, averaging 10.9 per game.

Make no mistake about it: LeBron, Wade and Chris Bosh will give the fans in Miami plenty of reasons to get out of their seats over the next five years, but they'll allow for more than enough down time for the fans to sit right back down. The fans will likely be given a championship or two, but they better get used to free throws.
