FOXBORO, Mass. — Over the weekend, reports indicated Patriots offensive lineman Nick Kaczur could miss the entirety of the 2010 season after he recently underwent back surgery.

Pats head coach Bill Belichick addressed Kaczur's situation Monday morning prior to the team's practice inside the Dana-Farber Field House.

"I don't think he'll be available in the immediate future, but we'll see how that goes," Belichick said. "I'm not sure exactly how long that will or won't be."

Kaczur, who has been the Patriots starting right tackle for several seasons, worked out at left guard during offseason practices and training camp. He took the place of starter Logan Mankins, who has not reached a contract resolution with the team.

Dan Connolly has since taken over at left guard.
