FOXBORO, Mass. — Curious if Patriots cornerback Leigh Bodden is excited to take advantage of this no-tax weekend? Or how much he's jonesing to play the new Madden? Or do you want to see Pats teammate Darius Butler make fun of Bodden for being old?

Well, just follow Bodden's very active Twitter account, and you'll get to know the human side of the football player. Bodden enjoys keeping it up to date, and he's even recently started to Skype with his fans, too. It's all in an effort to give back to the fans who have supported him during his career.

"Twitter was [originally] my friend's idea, just to get on it, just to get out there and interact with the fans," Bodden said. "It's good because the fans get to see another side of you, get to see you outside of the helmet or talk to you, interact, ask you questions, and it definitely excites them. It gets them comfortable with you."

Earlier this summer, Bodden even got into a lighthearted Twitter battle with Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco. The two have known each other for several years, and they'll meet up during the teams' regular-season opener Sept. 12 at Gillette Stadium.

"It's just a little trash talk a little bit, but it's entertainment," Bodden said. "[Ochocinco] is a funny guy. I played against him in Cleveland for five years. When it's on the field, it's business. There's no friends on the field, and I have to go out there and do my job, and he does, too. The best man will win."

Just another reason to follow Bodden on Twitter. And, if nothing else, it's better than following Dane Cook.
