Brett Favre told ESPN's Ed Werder Wednesday morning that he did not send text messages to his teammates on Monday night saying that he would retire. On the contrary, he will play if he is physically able.

Favre's texts reportedly had read "this is it" — words that could have been interpreted in many ways.

He also clarified to Werder that money is not an issue, despite word that the Vikings had offered him a raise to return on Wednesday.

The gunslinger took tosses at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss. Wednesday morning.

Still, Favre, as usual, is unsure about his ultimate decision.

This is his third consecutive offseason with an un-retirement.
