The 2010 NBA offseason saw LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal and every other player in the league change jerseys.

With the start of the season just around the corner, Adidas has designed new jerseys to optimize the players' performance. The jerseys will feature the same designs as the previous ones but will be much improved for the players.

A press release from the NBA claims that the new jerseys will "be 30 percent lighter and dry twice as fast as previous NBA uniforms to help enhance player performance by keeping athletes cooler, drier and more comfortable on the court." The new unis will feature Adidas’ Formation technology, which cuts down on friction between the jersey and the athletes and allows for more natural movement.

The new uniforms are made of 60 percent recycled materials and are lighter than previous jerseys. Adidas changed the numbers to a more breathable mesh, and thanks to CLIMACOOL fabrics the fabrics can absorb moisture in just three seconds.

These uniforms are lighter, more breathable, environmentally friendly and, most importantly, less shiny than ever before.
