Brett Favre, Randy Moss Connect for Favre's 500th Career Touchdown in Monday Night Loss The Vikings definitely succeeded in making a splash in their first matchup with a new receiver.

Running around like a pack of peewees, a smiling Brett Favre and the Vikings defense ran a double-reverse in their very first play, giving Randy Moss the football to throw to Favre at the sidelines. And then the play was flagged.

Despite losing the game, though, Moss and Favre connected for the 41-year-old’s 500th career touchdown in the third quarter. Minnesota stayed in it until the final minutes of the fourth, giving up a 29-20 loss to Gang Green.

Antonio Cromartie repeated his stellar coverage of Moss throughout the game, similar to his performance in Week 2 when Moss was with the Patriots. Cromartie broke up countless throws to the newest Viking — no doubt frustrating him to no end. However, Moss’ catch for Favre’s 500th was a beauty.
