What Is the Best Football Rivalry Featuring a Boston Team? It's always a big deal when the Patriots and Jets meet, but has the football installment of the Boston-New York rivalry ever been called a "Holy War?"

That's what they'll be calling it Saturday night, though, when Notre Dame comes to Chestnut Hill to face the Boston College Eagles in a highly anticipated college football throwdown in primetime at the Heights.

Both BC and Notre Dame have struggled some this year, but it's always a big deal when the two schools meet. The clash is often called the "Holy War" because it features the only two Catholic schools in the Division I FBS.

The two teams have met 19 times and thanks to some recent dominance by the Eagles, the Fighting Irish now only hold a 10-9 series lead. The games are usually close, too. Ten of those 19 games were decided by a touchdown or less.

BC isn't the only college football team in Boston with a bigtime rival, though. Harvard and Yale have been battling it out for a lot longer than BC and Notre Dame. "The Game" as its called was first played in 1875 and has been going strong ever since.

Adding to the rivalry, the clash between Harvard and Yale is played in two of the more historic stadiums in the country with the Crimson's Harvard Stadium and the Bulldogs' Yale Bowl.

Then, of course, there's always the big boys. There aren't many better rivalries than the Pats and the Jets.

So, what is the best football rivalry featuring a Boston team?
