Report: Lions Quarterback Shaun Hill Says Patriots Defender Tried to Break His Arm During Tackle It's widely-known that football is a physical game, but it got a bit too physical for Lions' quarterback Shaun Hill during the Thanksgiving Day game against the Patriots.

Hill told reporters that someone on the Patriots' defense was playing dirty in the scrum following a quarterback sneak in the second quarter. According to the report by Mlive.com, a Patriots defender was trying to break Hill's non-throwing arm — which was fractured five weeks ago — when he tried to cross the goal line.

"That's why I eventually gave up the ball," Hill said of the play run at the Patriots' two-yard line. "Somebody was down there [in the pile] literally trying to break my arm, which is already broken. Literally, trying. I guess wasn't seen [by officials]."

Hill said he wasn't worried about the fractured arm when the quarterback sneak was called, and that he would run the play again given the chance.

"I loved the call," he said. "I loved the call. Absolutely loved it. I have no qualms about running that play — one-armed or whatever. I loved the call."

Hill, who's filling in for starter Matthew Stafford, didn't score on the sneak but the Lions scored on the following play.

The Patriots had no comment on the accusation.
