Little did the NHL world know that Tim Thomas would serve as the Boston Bruins goaltender for many years to come as he was picked in the 9th round, 217th overall, in the 1994 NHL draft.
The two-time NHL All-Star was the winner of the 2009 Vezina Trophy, given to the league's best golatender, and also played for Team USA in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
