Patriots Sign Former Brown Standout Wide Receiver Buddy Farnham to Practice Squad

The Patriots are bringing back an old friend as the team announced the signing of wide receiver Buddy Farnham to the practice squad.

The 6-foot, 185-pound former Brown standout was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent out of the Ivy League school on May 3, 2010. He was then released on Aug. 9, re-signed on Aug. 15, and released again at final cuts on Sept. 4.

Farnham was named the Ivy League and New England Player of the Year in 2009 as a senior after grabbing 74 receptions for 1,003 receiving yards. He finished his collegiate career with 229 receptions (sixth in the Ivy League record book) for 2,895 career yards (seventh in Ivy League history).
