When the Celtics' captain drops a triple-double, the world listens. Paul Pierce was named Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference on Monday, becoming the second Celtic to earn the honor this season.

Pierce recorded 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the Celtics' win over the Pacers on Sunday afternoon, along with four steals. It was the sixth triple-double of his career and first since March 8, 2006. The C's captain also fueled two other wins earlier last week — he had 15 points and 10 assists in a win Thursday over the Hawks, and 32 points and a game-winning jumper against the Knicks on Wednesday night.

Pierce joins Rajon Rondo, who won the award on Nov. 1, as the two Celtics to win Player of the Week this season.

Spurs guard Tony Parker won this week's honors out West.
