Adrian Gonzalez is going to be peppering homers off and around Pesky’s Pole, as well as doubles off the Green Monster in left-center field for quite some time.

Source tell SI.com’s Jon Heyman that the Sox would likely give Gonzo $161 million for an eight-year extension.

Gonzalez was introduced to the Boston media on Monday morning at Fenway Park. The slugger was brought to the Hub in exchange for prospects Casey Kelly, Reymond Fuentes and Anthony Rizzo, as well as a player to be named later.

However, according to Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal‘s findings, the extension will be worth no more than seven years, $154 million — an average of $22 million per season.
