Which Former Matignon High School and Boston University Standout Served as Captain of the Thrashers From 2002-04? Although the Atlanta Thrashers aren’t necessarily drawing the biggest crowds in the NHL (in fact, they’re in a tight race for the league’s worst attendance), the team continues to impress and are just one point behind the Capitals for first place in the Southeast Division.

In every season since 2000, the Thrashers have been stuck in the bottom third in terms of attendance numbers in the NHL. There’s a good chance that Thursday’s The Four’s Trivia Question of the Day subject has played in front of more fans during his days dominating the ice for both Matignon High School (Cambridge, Mass.) and Boston University.

This Boston native was captain of the Thrash in 2002-03 and 2003-04 — two of his final three seasons that wrapped up a 14-year career. He was a Matignon High Warrior from 1985-88 and was drafted 110th overall by the Penguins in the 1987 NHL entry draft. After his stellar high school career, he headed off to Commonwealth Avenue to play for Jack Parker and the BU Terriers, where he posted 186 points in 120 contests before going pro.
