On Wednesday night, the Celtics will tip off yet another game without the services of their injured floor leader. They’ll be taking on a Sacramento Kings team that knows all about that.

While the C’s are once again missing Kevin Garnett due to a lower leg injury, the Kings will also be down one star in second-year sensation Tyreke Evans. Both sides will look to do the best with the personnel they have.

While Garnett has spent two weeks recovering from his strained calf muscle and is nearing a return, the C’s continue to err on the side of caution with him. Head coach Doc Rivers has said Garnett would probably play Wednesday if it were a playoff game, but in January, he could use another few days of rest. Garnett is unlikely to return Friday, either, although nothing’s certain.

Glen Davis will continue to start in KG’s place, while the Kings will again go with Luther Head in the spot of the injured Evans.

Here’s the lineup card for C’s-Kings:

Celtics
Rajon Rondo, PG
Ray Allen, SG
Paul Pierce, SF
Glen Davis, PF
Shaquille O’Neal, C

Kings
Beno Udrih, PG
Pooh Jeter, SG
Francisco Garcia, SF
Jason Thompson, PF
DeMarcus Cousins, C
