Roy Hodgson is determined to rebuild his attack now that the January transfer window has come around, and he may have found the right fit in Dutch star Eljero Elia.

According to the Daily Mail, Elia is running into some issues with Hamburger SV, his current club in the German Bundesliga. The Reds are reportedly moving in on a deal with the winger and have made an offer of roughly $20 million, as suggested by the Hamburg newspaper Morgenpost.

Elia has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with Liverpool, according to the German press.

If the reports are true, Elia couldn't be coming at a better time for the Reds. After watching their top forwards, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, struggle with injuries, the spark of 23-year-old Elia could help their scoring momentum in the new year.

Elia has scored twice in 10 games in the Bundesliga this season. He has also represented the Netherlands in the World Cup, playing on the same international squad as Reds' forward Dirk Kuyt.
