Moroccan League Soccer Player Given Red Card for Punching Teammate in Face During Game

A little brawl between teammates can be good every now and then — when it's at practice or away from the game. But when it happens on the field, during the game and it costs you a player, however, that may be going over the line.

Younes Kouchame, a soccer player in the Moroccan League, punched his teammate Mohamed El-Askri in the face during a recent game as the two had a bit of a spat on the field.

It ended up costing Kouchame, and it cost his team as well. In a bizarre scene, Kouchame was eventually issued a red card for his actions, forcing Kouchame's side, Olympique Khouribga, to play a man down. They eventually lost the match, 2-1.

While it wasn't the greatest of moves by Kouchane, you really have to question El-Askri's reaction to the blow. It's one thing to take a dive and embellish an injury when it's inflicted by an opponent, but does it make much sense to do it when it's coming from your own teammate? Questionable form, to say the least.
