Larry Fitzgerald Speaks Glowingly of Patriots, Saying He's 'a Fan' of Bill Belichick Larry Fitzgerald is under contract with the Cardinals for another season, so to speak of a new home for the superstar wideout is still premature. Yet, with the Cardinals coming off a 5-11 season, there remains a possibility that the team tries to cash in and trade him before they lose him to free agency.

And if he were to be on the move, it's safe to assume he wouldn't mind playing for Bill Belichick.

"I think it all starts with the head coach," Fitzgerald told ESPN.com's Mike Reiss, regarding the Patriots' consistent success. "He's the only coach in history to have four seasons with 14 wins, and that alone speaks volumes of what he's able to accomplish, especially in that division. That's a strong, strong division and he's found a way to win it [eight] times. It's astonishing."

The seven-year veteran with more than 8,000 receiving yards spoke highly of the Patriots' organization from top to bottom, going back to his discussions with Belichick when he was coming out of college in 2004.

"I'm a fan of his," Fitzgerald said of Belichick. "I could understand why they've had so much success, because they deal with a cerebral kind of football player. "Guys come in, they’re young and intelligent, able to grasp the concepts, and they can go out there and play fast."

Fans in New England shouldn't exactly start stitching Fitzgerald onto the back of their Patriots' jerseys, but knowing one of the most prized players in the games is a fan of the team can be considered a good sign heading forward.
