When the Celtics shut Rajon Rondo down for Sunday night's tilt in Minnesota, it was purely precautionary. If it was a playoff game, he'd have played, but in March he could take a night to rest his jammed finger.

Initial reports indicated that Rondo would need another night to rest the pinkie finger, but the point guard was back in the lineup for Monday's tilt with the Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

If Rondo wasn't able to go, Delonte West would have been back in the starting five for the C's. West was solid Sunday night in his first start of the season, contributing eight points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals as the C's won 85-82.

Here's the lineup card for C's-Pacers:

Celtics
Rajon Rondo, PG
Ray Allen, SG
Paul Pierce, SF
Kevin Garnett, PF
Nenad Krstic, C

Pacers
Darren Collison, PG
Paul George, SG
Danny Granger, SF
Tyler Hansbrough, PF
Roy Hibbert, C
