Rumors of an agreement over a new two-year deal for Liverpool caretaker manager Kenny Dalglish surfaced in recent days, and while FSG ownership may be ready to talk about an extension for the Anfield legend, nothing is yet in place.

"The only discussion we've had has been with Kenny and that was solely concerning when we should begin discussions," owner John Henry told the Daily Telegraph.

"I wouldn't anticipate any further comments until such discussions have commenced and we have something to announce. Any reports until then are purely speculation."

Since taking over for Roy Hodgson in January, Dalglish has improved the side's form on the pitch considerably, orchestrated two successful signings and received widespread support from fans and players.
