The process of adding width to the Liverpool squad began in earnest on Wednesday, as the club has reportedly reached an agreement over pre-contract terms with Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux.
The 24-year-old former France Under-21 international will be out of contract in the summer and will join the Reds on a free transfer, according to Sky Sports. The left-sided player is valued at over £7 million, according to TransferMrkt.co.uk.
Marveaux has played his entire career with Rennes, tallying 20 goals and 16 assists in 118 appearances for the Ligue A side.
