It's starting to sound like the Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to have a Pouncey family reunion in the Steel City.

NFL.com is reporting that the Steelers are having serious discussions about attempting to move up in the first round of NFL draft in order to draft Florida offensive lineman Mike Pouncey. The interior lineman, of course, is the brother of Pittsburgh's 2010 first-round pick, center Maurkice Pouncey.

According to the report, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has told his staff to strongly explore a scenario in which they would be able to move up should Mike Pouncey "start to slip" in the first round of the draft to be conducted on Thursday.

It won't be necessarily easy for the Steelers. Pittsburgh has the No. 31 pick right now and Pouncey is thought by many to go in the middle of the first round, maybe as early as No. 15 to the Dolphins. That's where the potential "slip" comes in. If he does fall, Tomlin will likely try to make something happen.

The report also states that the Steelers feel their best chance to move up in the first round will likely involve Tampa Bay who owns the No. 20 pick. The fact that Tomlin is friends with Bucs coach Raheem Morris reportedly has the Steelers optimistic about a potential deal.

Maurkice Pouncey stepped in and fit seemlessly into the Steelers' offensive line in his rookie season as the team's center, as he earned a Pro Bowl selection.
