Brazilian Soccer Player Dudu Involved in Deadly Car Crash, Not Seriously Injured

Brazilian soccer player Dudu was involved in a car crash this past weekend that left two people dead and one seriously injured.

A forward for the Brazilian soccer club Figueirense, the 31-year-old Dudu was driving in the city of Florianopolis when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a traffic sign. The car soon caught fire, leaving two of the trapped passengers dead. Dudu was not seriously injured in the crash, while another passenger remains in serious condition.

Dudu was reportedly driving without a driver's license.

The Brazilian athlete burst onto the scene in 1999, playing for the Brazilian squad Vitoria. His most successful season was in 2008 while playing in South Korea's K-League with the Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, when he scored 15 goals.
